What stair was my choice? A place serene and full of beauty when I’ve first seen it. But what can a blind man see? Above the twin majestic pillars Light and Shadow stand watching ready to tear my soul apart at the first step I took toward redemption. But is it redemption? No one can see what awaits at the end of this stair. Like a warning, the stairs reach even higher behind the eyes of my tormented soul. What I shall find at the end will be redemption but also damnation. As a blind man that I was before I took the first step and pain opened my eyes.
The twisted and contorted bodies of my thoughts screamed in agony. Bleeding memories were drowning in liquefied pain cursing throw my soul. From the deep recesses of my mind horrors poured out into my being. I’ve seen my body on a field of battle, the warm blood of my enemies filing my senses with ecstasy. At my feet looking up stood a mutilated reflection of…myself. Everybody on that field, ally and enemy alike, wore my face. The war wages on and my broken mind, soul and body are the battlefields. All I can do is watch as my madness, fear and blindness are fighting against hope, courage, determination. I see now that there is hint of true darkness and evil inside me but also good, the power to surpass my former self. Destroyer and messiah, damned and divine. For some days now, more exactly since i received in my e-mail the Coca Cola’s Christmas ad for 2011, i kept asking myself what to do. Should i write about it or just let the people to discover it by themselves, or better said, within the TV little help. So, as you can see, my enthusiasm into sharing these minutes of wonderland won, furthermore here i am bubbling about the brand.
I have to admit, even though my eyes were easily seduced by the amazing Christmas commercial from John Lewis, ad that i really love, i still got a little bit under the weather on the thought: What happened? I mean, a tradition was born over the years in the people’s mind that Coca Cola is the ONE to start the Winter Advertising.
Without loosing myself into the details, the new advert is amazing. A great move for the brand to keep the same musical line from the last year’s winter commercial: Train – Shake up Christmas, but under the Natasha Bedingfield’s rhythm. Not to mention, the classical direction with the Santa Claus and the snow globe, kept from the last winter.
Wishes, dreams, over floating emotions and the feeling of Sharing are exploited to the maximum in the scenario of being with your dear ones.
Christmas is that time of the year when you should take a break from the social routine, from your work and your problems and just breath the wonderfulness of his magic.Love, find love or share love are the words that describe the white December and Coca Cola perfectly encapsulates this concept in its visual imaginary with the obviously and very well positioned target – family! bringing in the same time a new slogan: Wake Up the Magic. I feel like this campaign speaks to me personally, since my career often takes me out on the road, which makes me cherish those precious moments with friends and family that much more. When we gather for the holidays, one of our favorite traditions is singing holiday songs, so it’s really meaningful for me to perform a song that friends and families the world over can enjoy together., Natasha Bedingfield.
Let’s remember a little about the last year’s Christmas too:
And i can’t omit the snow globe advert created around the message: leave aside your games for a while and enjoy a kick around of football and a coke with your friends.
Can you measure influence by Twitter followers and Facebook likes or does the definition of influence achieve a more higher level?
Couple of days ago i was taking a peek through the scene of New York´s influencers wondering how they can make trends and creativity to become contagious these days. The answer to my question revealed itself within the short documentary created by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson. The film entitled INFLUENCERS explores through interviews with creative and inspirational persons, such as fashion editors, CEOs, consultants and some other influential individuals, the concept of what it means to be an influencer!
I have to say that the interviewees did a pretty great job of outlinig the character traits which revolve around the brand´s world.
As Rob Stone (CEO of Cornerstone) admited, an influencer must be confident. In other words, if you have confidence, your ideas and your values will be in a much better position to influence people into following your lead. Personally, i do believe that the passion is that one trait to assure you fulfillment in this scene. Just looking at people like Robert Scoble, Steve Jobs or Oprah, three of many influential people, you can feel their devotion for what they do or did and it really rubs off. So one piece of advice, don´t try to become influencial on Twitter by tweeting about comic books when in fact you love photography, it will never work.
I can´t talk about influencers without the mention of Seth Godin and his well known thought of thinking outside of the box. Being creative, innovative, non-conformist and inventive is what makes a person to enter under the above mentioned title. Have no fear and take a risk into your original ideas, opinions and products, just when this step is taken you wil find yourself in the spot where you can influence others.
Even though it takes a lot of work and there are moments when it boils down to change, if you are a true dreamer with amazing originality you have a good shot.
In the end, The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, Are the ones who do !
So everything comes down to one question : What do YOU think makes a person influential in real life and on the social web too these days?
